With “Dr. House” star Hugh Laurie: A new audio book for “Harry Potter” is in the MACH. These big names are also there.
JK Rowling (60) series of novels is being filmed as a series, and a new audiobook version of “Harry Potter” is also being built in parallel. And the speakers have it all. So “Dr. House” star Hugh Laurie (66) his voice to the headmaster Albus Dumbledore. Matthew Macfadyen (50), known from “Succession”, will take over the upper villain Lord Voldemort. Riz Ahmed (42) will speak Severus Snape, “The Good Fight” star Cush Jumbo (39) acts as a narrator.

“I feel honored that the keys to Albus Dumbledore were entrusted to me,” says Hugh Laurie. “I am thrilled to be able to accompany him on the journey of this wonderful incarnation,” the Briton is quoted further.
Laurie respectfully mentions the actors and spokesmen who borrowed their voice in front of him: Richard Harris (1930-2002) and Michael Gambon (1940-2023) in the cinema films as well as Jude Law (52) in the “Bellishers” prequels. Laurie also does not forget Stephen Fry (67) and Jim Dale (89). Fry said the British audiobers to “Harry Potter”, the American versions. Both slipped into all roles, including those of the Dumbledore.
The younger speakers of Harry, Ron and Hermione are (so far) less known. Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester and Arabella Stanton speak the friends in the first at books, then Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan and Nina Barker-Francis. Stanton will also play the young Hermione in the announced series.
The first audio look for “Harry Potter and the stone of the wise” is scheduled to appear on Audible on November 4 of this year. After that, a new band should follow every month.
