German football mourns the loss of a slit ear, a hero and a friend. Among other things, Rudi Völler says goodbye.
Frank Mill (1958-2025), former football professional and world champion in 1990, is dead. How, the former international died of a heart attack at the age of 67. Already in the first hours after the sad news became known, numerous voices from German football registered to say goodbye.

Today’s DFB sports director Rudi Völler, who won the world championship title in 1990 at the Mill’s side in Italy, is “shocked” about the news. “In addition to Franz Beckenbauer and Andy Brehme, we will now be missing another world champion from 1990 forever,” he becomes. Without Frank Mill, Borussia Dortmund would not have been a cup winner in 1989 and would not be there today.” Norbert Dickel, Mill’s former and long -time storm partner, shows “very, very sad”. He “lost a good friend”. The two had “experienced so much together, always had a tight wire and liked to talk about old times”.
