As early as autumn, two documentaries on Ozzy Osbourne’s life and its last months are to appear.

This year, two documentaries on Ozzy Osbourne (1948-2025) are to appear, which are also to trace the last months of the metal legend. As reported, both the BBC and the streaming service Paramount+ received access to Osbourne and his family for three years. The newspaper speculates in autumn.

According to an insider, both companies are “very interested in starting the first thing to start because they know how popular Ozzy was and how well these documentation will arrive”. Despite the competition, the focus for both sides is to “create two respectful productions that have the approval of the Osbourne family”.

That is why it should be in the documentation

Paramount+ announced the documentary “Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape from now” this February. According to a message from the streaming service, this will illuminate the years from 2022 to 2025 – with the farewell concert in Birmingham as a degree. Some of Osbourne’s music colleagues such as Black-Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi (77) and Duff McKagan (61) from Guns N ‘Roses are also said to have their say. The documentary will still be released in 2025.

The BBC had already announced the documentary series with the original title “Home to Roost” in 2022, which was to consist of ten 30-minute consequences. The series is to accompany Ozzy and Sharon Osbournes (72) after returning to their homeland in Great Britain. However, the documentation should probably not be published as a series as initially planned, but as a film. A publication date is still pending.

Ozzy biopic from Sony in progress

Sony also works on a filmmography about Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. “The film is in the works. The Ozzy-Biopic really picks up speed,” said Osbourne’s son Jack (39). “We now have a director, the script is ready and Sony Studios will produce the film,” he revealed. However, the script is revised. The filming may already be launched next spring, “so the film may come to cinemas in the summer of 2027,” said Jack Osbourne.

His father, the legendary Black Sabbath front man Ozzy Osbourne, died on July 22nd at the age of 76. “With more grief than mere words can express, we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne left us this morning,” said the family. He died in the presence of his family and “surrounded by love”. The cause of death is now known: According to media reports, a “cardiac arrest due to an acute heart attack” is said to have led to his death.
