According to the Variety portal, the producer of the series, Sony Pictures Television, plans to offer the program to other media and explore different creative addresses for intellectual property.

Each season presented references and arguments of several entries from Stine’s books. In the first season, a group of five high school students is involved in a dark mystery around a teenager named Harold Biddle, who died decades ago. In the second season, two twins move with their father, a newly divorced botanist. When strange things begin to happen, they and a group of friends intend to discover the truth.
The cast of the first season included Justin Long, Rachael Harris, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Miles McKenna, Ana Yi Puig and Will Pricand. The second season was starring David Schwimmer, Ana Ortiz, Jayden Bartels, Sam McCarthy, Elijah M. Cooper, Francesca Noel and Galilea la Salvia.
Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman developed chills: the television series and were executive producers. Hilary Winston was an executive producer and showrunner. Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty, from Original Film, were also executive producers along with Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman, by Scholastic Entertainment, as well as Conor Welch and Erin O’Malley. Sony Pictures Television Studios produced the Disney Branded Television series.
