Usually the celebrity couple’s property in Italy is protected from looking. Now the Hollywood star and his wife let some large donors into the villa.
The celebrity couple Amal and George Clooney opens their luxury villa on Lake Como this weekend for some large donors. According to a report by the Italian daily “Corriere della Sera”, the 16 guests pay $ 170,000 each (around 146,000 euros). In addition to a dinner in the villa, there are also trips to the area on the program, it said. According to the newspaper report, the money earned flows to the Clooney Foundation for Justice Foundation, which the couple founded a few years ago.
The names of the large donors were initially not known. They should come from the USA, the Middle East and Asia. The “Corriere della Sera” speculated that US actor Robert de Niro could also be there. The 81-year-old had recently been spotted at Lake Como.
The Clooneys rarely stay in the property in Italy
The 64-year-old George Clooney bought the property in the municipality of Laglio directly on the banks of the northern Italian lake more than 20 years ago. With his wife (47) and the two children, however, the Hollywood star rarely stays there.
To the dismay of the Clooney’s tourists and paparazzi, tourists and paparazzi keep trying to look at the site from the lake. The police have therefore set up a kind of restricted zone on the water and on land. In the meantime, it had already been speculated that the Clooneys could have sold the Villa Oleandra. The couple also has real estate in the USA and southern France.
