The Belén film, set in the province of Tucumán, Argentina, follows the story of Julieta, a young woman accused of committing an illegal abortion, and of Soledad Deza, a bold lawyer who risks everything to assume a case as controversial as decisive. As the trial develops, Juliet’s situation becomes a turning point in the fight against a conservative judicial system, unleashing a wave of indignation and a growing network of solidarity that crosses borders.
