In a new interview with Rolling Stone Italy, they asked him why he decided to leave The Strokes behind to record with The Voidz. “When I started to make music, passionate about my dreams and my vision, I was very clear how things would evolve,” he said.
“My career with the Strokes became something different from what initially attracted myself from music”he said. He quoted legendary bands like Bon Jovi and Green Day As proof that they could have endured forever, and explained how that perception affected its production.
“We had entered a mechanism that kept us united only for economic reasons, relegating the creativity of the band to the background”Casablancas explained. “So I concluded that this was not the way I wanted to develop.”
The return of The Strokes to the stage

This year’s edition of the Texas Festival will be held on two consecutive weekends: from October 3 to 5 and from October 10 to 12. Tickets for the three days of both editions are already on sale.
As warming, they will perform two intimate shows in The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on September 27 and at the Abraham Chavez Theater in El Paso on October 1.
