Wolfgang Schwalm has announced that the Wildecker Herzbuben celebrate their farewell. Colleague Wilfried Gliem apparently disagrees.

Wolfgang Schwalm (70) and Wilfried Gliem (78) started as a popular hit duo from 1989. The last joint appearance of the “Herzilein” interpreter was at the Parookavilla Festival last year. In September, another will follow and form the stage party of the two.

On September 18, 2025, Heidi Klum (52) invited to the “Heidifest” in the Hofbräuhaus in Munich, as the broadcaster ProSieben recently announced. Together with her family, with the guests invited by Klum “and a star bid”, the brewery “should become the scene of the ultimate pre-Wiesn party”, it said in advance. Schlager legends, party sizes and international guests are supposed to transform the Hofbräuhaus into a marquee stage with its well-known hits and Oktoberfest classics. Among others, Jürgen Drews, Michelle and Eric Philippi, Peter Kraus, Thomas Anders, Roberto Blanco and the Wildecker Herzbuben should occur.

Wildecker Herzbuben with a new member?

“Wilfried and I will appear again at Heidi Klum’s Schlager Show in September,” said Schwalm and emphasized: “It would be a worthy stage party for us as a duo.” According to Schwalm, the Wildecker Herzbuben is no longer officially available, “we dissolved our society bourgeois law on March 31st”. Wilfried Gliem, which was struck in a health, was only able to complete the last appearances in a wheelchair or with a rollator. “Of course that doesn’t work in the long run.” Wolfgang Schwalm now wants to concentrate on his solo project with a new record contract and continue as “Der Herzbube Wolfgang” from autumn.

Wilfried Gliem turned to “Bild” disagreed with what the future of the Wildecker Herzbuben concerns. The two are separated on paper, but he keeps the Wildecker Herzbuben brand alone. “When I get well again, as a right-wing owner I can look for another singer at any time, whom I put on a hat and with whom I appear,” said Gliem. He could also legally hire Wolfgang Schwalm. Schwalm had not told him that he already had a new record contract. Whether his colleague will make it alone, “you will see”. At Klum’s Wiesn party, he will sing in a wheelchair, “I had that contractually assure myself. The situation is not different at the moment.”
