Daniel Küblböck would have turned 40 at the end of August. In a documentary, his ex-friends report from the past few months in the life of the former DSDS star.
In the three -part ARD documentary “The Küblböck-Story-Your Lana Kaiser”, which will be broadcast from August 27th, tell the companions Daniel Küblböckswhat kind of person he was, which was probably going in him and what moment apparently represented a turning point in his life. Küblböck went from the cruise ship in September 2018 Aida-Luna in Labradorsee, about 185 km north of St. John’s, Newfoundland, overboard and was declared dead in 2021.
One who was more than close to Daniel is his ex-boyfriend Robin Gasser. He was lined with the singer for three years, from 2014 to 2017. When he talks about the relationship, he says, then he talks about Daniel because he identified himself as Daniel Küblböck during this time. Shortly before his death, Daniel Küblböck became Lana Kaiser. He describes the relationship with the singer at the time as “very passionate”.
Gasser remembers a joyful partner: “He just felt like this life that he lives,” says Gasser, adding: “He also loved himself for this life. He was so fun for his life and I always admired that on him.”
Daniel Küblböck was Gasser’s great love
His ex-boyfriend admits devoutly: “I have never been able to love someone as I loved Daniel again. I loved him unconditionally in that sense.” He describes him as a guide in terms of gender roles, diversity and sexuality. But apparently there were also shallows in Daniel Küblböck’s life. According to Gasser, the topic of family is said to have been one. He describes Küblböck’s family relationship as “broken”.
Robin Gasser also speaks of the separation of the DSDS star in the documentary. “Until there was a separation, there were several stages,” he says. Küblböck is said to have moved to Berlin, the two of them have led a long-distance relationship because Gasser lived in Baden-Baden. Küblböck wanted to do acting in Berlin. The long -distance relationship “hurt,” he says in retrospect. “We noticed that it somehow makes it more unhappy for both of us, that we are so far away from each other that it is somehow different now”.
Robin Gasser states that he suffered a lot from the separation from his great love. “I was very bad with it and of course Daniel also has, we have somehow,” he stalls and then says “yes, shed one or two tears”. He gets air and says: “Daniel will always be part of me, no matter when, even in 50 years.”
What happened during the acting training?
With acting, Küblböck wanted to build a second mainstay next to the music. But he was also apparently victims of bullying at this school. Manuel Pilz, also an ex-boyfriend, who Küblböck met in mid-2017, also received the resulting mood. Daniel did not get the necessary recognition at the drama school that he had apparently hoped for, he says. The relationship also broke up because Daniel Küblböck found acting training as much more stressful and stressful than he thought. Robin Gasser also sees a “key moment in acting training”.
At the drama school he finds his way to Lana Kaiser and would like to complete with his life as Daniel Küblböck. Fellow students and friends say that he suddenly drank a lot more alcohol, even drunk in rehearsals. It is precisely in this phase of her life emperor in September 2018 and disappeared.
