The real -acting pirates series will not return with a second season until 2026. In the annual celebration of the One Piece Dayheld this weekend in Tokyo, Japan, Netflix shared a first advance of next season, based on the best -selling manga of all time in Japan, written by Eiichiro Oda.


The production of the third season will begin in Cape Cabo, South Africa, at the end of this year. Ian Stokeswho was One Piece executive producer, will join Joe Tracz as Coshowrunner. Replaces a Matt Owenswho retired in March after being an executive producer and Coshowrunner of seasons 1 and 2. Tracz became Coshowrunner in the second season and has been guiding the season until postproduction after Owens’s departure.

The synopsis of the second season, indicates that “unleashing more fierce adversaries and the most dangerous missions to date. The executive producers of the second season are Tracz and Owens, Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe and Steven Maeda. The series was created in collaboration with Shueisha and is produced by Tomorrow Studios (partner of Itv Studios).
One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy in his search for the legendary treasure, One Piece, and becomes the king of pirates. After its premiere in Netflix in 2023, the real action series remained eight weeks in the global top 10, reaching number 1 in more than 75 countries and making history as the first series in Netflix English to debut in number 1 in Japan. The series has almost 100 million visualizations and is one of the most unloaded of Netflix of all time.
