Both had met at a festival in the home town of Guldental to the CDU politician about friends who would have introduced them to each other.
Pilawa is a four-time father and has lived separately from his wife for three and a half years, Klöckner has been divorced by her ex-husband. According to friends, the Hamburger and the Rhineland Palatinate are regularly traveling together in Klöckner’s rural constituency of Bad Kreuznach, and the families also know each other.

Klöckner was elected Bundestag president in March. She is the fourth woman at the head of Parliament. From 2018 to 2021 she was under Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) Federal Minister of Agriculture, from 2021 to 2025 spokeswoman for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag. In 2022 she became the CDU’s federal treasurer, before that she was deputy federal chairman of her party for ten years. Pilawa is one of the most famous faces on German entertainment television. The broadcaster Sat.1 has just terminated a new season of the show “The 1%quiz – How Clever is Germany?” to.
