On August 11, the late wrestling legend Hulk Hogan celebrated her birthday. His ex-wife Linda shares an old picture.
At the end of July, Hulk Hogan (1953-2025) died at the age of 71. On August 11th, less than three weeks later, the legendary US wrestler would have celebrated his birthday. His ex-wife Linda Bollea (65) remembers the deceased on Monday.
Linda Bollea, who calls herself on Instagram Linda Hogan, releases her to congratulate her ex-husband. According to their comment, the two can be seen on the recording in 1981. “Me and the Hulkster,” she writes. “Happy birthday, Terry,” she also wishes him. Hulk Hogan’s bourgeois name was Terry Bollea. Linda further explains: “I love and miss you so much.” The two were married from 1983 to 2009.
Hulk Hogan: It was a heart attack
Hogan died on July 24th. The cause of death was initially unclear. The Pinellas County Forensic Science Center provided that the 71-year-old had a heart attack. The documents showed that the wrestling star suffered from atrial fibrillation and fought against a form of leukemia.
On August 5, Hogan was buried in Clearwater, Florida, in the presence of family and friends. In addition to Hogan’s spouse Sky Daily, Linda Bollea, the former wrestler Triple H (56), the musician Kid Rock (54) and the comedian Theo von (45) were present. Hogan’s daughter Brooke (37) stayed away from the burial. “My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn’t want to,” explained.
Hogan was once a US hero
Hogan has undoubtedly been one of the most influential personalities of the professional wrestling in the past decades. He helped make the entertainment spectacle the big business it is today. You still know your name in pretty much every US household.
The former hero has also played many sympathy in recent years, including through a racism scandal. A transcript had appeared in 2015 and used the “n-word” several times. “It was unacceptable for me to use this insulting language; there is no apology for it,” he said to the magazine in a statement.
