The classic Gothic horror story of Mary Shelley, Frankensteinwill have a new adaptation, this time by the Romanian author Radu Jude (Do not wait too much from the end of the world). However, this will have an unexpected turn: the protagonist Sebastian Stan will interpret both the monster and its creator in the modernization of the 1818 novel.
According to reports, the film will title Frankenstein in Romania and combine Shelley’s story about the crazy dream of a scientist to create a new life with the real horror of the secret prison of the CIA in that country.
Jude has always wanted to collaborate with Stan, who was born in Romania and lived there his first eight years of life. He presented Frankenstein’s idea to the UCM star and convinced him.
