The inspiration behind Good Boy
The idea arose after Leonberg will review the movie Polytergeistwhere the dog detects the paranormal before humans:
“It is a cliché in many films that the dog knows that something happens before the family, and I thought: ‘Someone should make a horror movie from the dog’s perspective’.
With Indy at home and its characteristic fixed look, Good Boy was born. The filmmaker made it clear that he wanted 100 % natural reactions: “This is not Air Bud or Lassie, where the dog is always happy and acts for food. My goal was that Indy behaved like a real dog, without voiceover or abstract thinking, only instinct and reaction.”
