“The canoe of the Manitu” – film pleasure celebrates world premiere

A lot is laughed on this evening, celebrated and some tears are eaten. The western parody “The Cane of Manitu” by Michael Bully Herbig’s world premiere in Munich celebrates in ten cinemas.

Large casserole for “The Canu des Manitu”: In Munich, the western parody of Michael Bully Herbig celebrated world premiere. Around 3,000 guests saw the film, which continues the success comedy “The Schuh des Manitu” from 2001.

The evening was particularly emotional for a celebrity: Sky du Mont, again in the role of Santa Maria’s top villain. The 78-year-old had previously announced that “the manu of the Manitu” would be his last film shoot. After the premiere, it becomes emotional. When Mont is adopted at the end, a few tears flow from Herbig.

Soothing for all fans: Much of the first film can also be found in the sequel. They had “pushed the nostalgal and tone”, Herbig had previously explained on the red carpet. So Abahachi (Herbig) and his Bavarian grantling blood brother Ranger (Christian Tramitz) still ride through the prairie, including iconic sayings almost 25 years later (“I am dissatisfied with the overall situation”).

Winnetouch (Herbig) now operates a dance and fencing school. The Greek Tavernwirt Dimitri (Rick Kavanian) has expanded and Santa Maria (Sky du Mont) also celebrates a miraculous resurrection from the swamp, in which he was sunk at the end of “The Shoe of Manitu”.

This time the blood brothers have to do with a gang that wants to steal a legendary canoe, to which special forces are said. Of course they want to thwart that, but it’s not that simple. On top of that, Abahachi and Ranger get trouble with the sheriff (Friedrich Mücke) and his assistant, the comfortably Saxon Deputy (Kavanian).

The American actor Alan Tafoya came from New Mexico. The Jicarilla Apache of the Red Sid Plains People ensures a rather emotional moment at the end of the film. On stage, Tafoya takes his chance to promote international understanding. He was so happy that he was able to bring the world closer to the audience, he says.

Dance, songs and film quotes

The one and a half hour film pleasure with dance performances, some songs from Stefan Raab and Herbig (“Because we are so great on it”) and several film quotes is garnished. Sure: The Western after the novels by Karl May, which were shot in the 1960s, including a surprise appearance. There are also bonds on the adventure series “Indiana Jones” or the works of the French filmmaker Louis de Funès.

“The canoe of the Manitu” will start in the cinemas on Thursday. This time there are also Jessica Schwarz, Friedrich Mücke, Jasmin Schwier and the comedian Tutty Tran.
