Superstar wins first Emmy

With her first Emmy, Beyoncé continues to write music history. She is recognized for the spectacular costumes of her “Beyoncé Bowl”.
Beyoncé (43) can now add an Emmy to its impressive list of awards. The singer was awarded on Tuesday by the Television Academy in the category “Outstanding costumes for variety, nonfiction or reality productions”. The elaborate outfits of their Netflix Special “NFL Christmas Game Day Halftime Show”, better known as “Beyoncé Bowl”, were awarded awards.
Together with her, costume designer Shiona Turini, the Assistant Costume designer Erica Rice and Molly Peters, costume supervisor Chelsea Staebell and Head of Workroom Timothy White received the coveted trophy. The winners of this so -called “Juried Awards” will be honored in the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles as part of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 6th and 7th – a week before the prime time Emmys.
Beyoncé is nominated in two more categories
For Beyoncé it could not stay with this Emmy: The mother of triple is also nominated in the categories “Outstanding direction for a variety spectrum” (together with Alex Rudzinski) and “outstanding variety special (live)”. In the latter, she competes against her husband Jay-Z (55), who goes into the race for his work on the Apple Music Super Bowl Lix Halfttime Show with Kendrick Lamar (38).
The “Beyoncé Bowl” took place on December 25th at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, – the hometown of the singer – during the game of the Baltimore Ravens against the Houston Texans. It was the first time that Beyoncé Songs performed live from her Grammy-winning album “Cowboy Carter”, including “Blackbiird”, “16 Carreages” and “Ya Ya”. The show was broadcast on Netflix.
The 77th prime time Emmy Awards will take place on September 14, 2025 in the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
