Sophia Thomalla: The transformation of the moderator

Sophia Thomalla (35) has been running through the dating show “Are You The One?” Since 2021. From August 13th, 22 singles will again search for their Perfect Match in the fifth season of the celebrity edition “Are You The One – Reality Stars in Love” on RTL+. Even if Thomalla is once again used to sexy in tight mini dresses – over the years she seems to have done an image change.

In the past, the daughter of Simone Thomalla (60) dominated loudly, trashy and often the headlines thanks to turbulent relationship stories. For some time now, however, it has become much calmer around them. On her Instagram account, on which she used to be happy to interfere in many debates, she only posts sporadically. She is also rarer on the red carpets, and while in the past in a wide variety of television formats from “Dance Dance Dance” to “Wok World Cup”, she was practically permanent, you can now see them less often on the screen.

The year 2021 almost seems to mark a kind of turning point for Sophia Thomalla – professionally and privately. At that time she took over the “Are You The One?” Moderated in the first season of Jan Köppen (42). Since then she has been the face of the show and especially in this role. In addition to the regular edition, she also leads through the VIP version “Are You The One – Reality Stars in Love.”

Sophia Thomalla has also been taking it easy when it comes to private life. In October of the year she made her relationship with tennis professional Alexander Zverev (28) public. The 35-year-old had previously caused a sensation with an illustrious partner selection. From 2011 to 2015 she was with Rammstein front man Till Lindemann (62). In 2016, the lightning wedding with the Norwegian rocker Andy Laplegua (49) made headlines – the marriage only lasted a few months. After that, she was in a relationship with the ex-husband of Gwen Stefani (55), musician Gavin Rossdale (59), as he confirmed in the British talk show “Loose Women” in autumn 2017.
