Set in the mid -1990s, Steve is an adaptation of the book Shy, by Max Porter, included in the list of the best selling of the Sunday Times.
The film tells a crucial day in Steve’s life (Cillian Murphy), which is the director of a reformatory that represents the last opportunity of its students in a world that has abandoned them. While fighting to protect the integrity of the institution and avoid its imminent closure, Steve Lidia with its own mental health challenges. In parallel, we know Shy (Jay Lycurg), A problematic adolescent trapped between the past and the future, who seeks to reconcile his inner fragility with his impulses of self -destruction and violence.
