Ex from Yeliz Koc wants to become mayor
Reality star Jannik Kontalis wants to become Mayor of Mönchengladbach. Among other things, he promises fair kebab prices.
Jannik Kontalis (29), ex-boyfriend of Yeliz Koc (31) and known as a reality TV star, has planned the next step in his career: as a non-party candidate for the office of mayor in his hometown Mönchengladbach-against a total of eight other competitors, including incumbent Felix Heinrichs (36). Now he has published his election program.

Clearly regulated and finally allowed again.” He is also committed to “kebabs for everyone” and calls for fair prices through “voluntary agreements with snack drivers”. In addition, Kontalis wants to check the “annoying 30s zones” for their legality and, if necessary, adapt.

The plan to become mayor is clearly different from Kontalis’ previous career path. “I’m not a politician. I’m a person,” he emphasizes. The 29-year-old stands “for a policy that is based on honesty, reliability and humanity”.
His conviction: “I am the best that Mönchengladbach can now happen.” With this claim, on September 19, 2025, he will be one of nine candidates in the local elections in the North Rhine-Westphalian city.
The founder of a video production company became known by participating in the dome show “Make Love Fake Love”. There he emerged as the winner in 2023 and came together with the single lady Yeliz Koc. Despite a love comeback, the relationship did not last. Most recently, the ex-couple could be seen “prominently separated” on the show.
