Peter Weck celebrates his 95th birthday: Honor from the Mayor of Vienna

Active star Peter Weck celebrated his 95th birthday on August 12th in the Plachutta restaurant in Vienna. The guests also included Vienna Mayor Michael Ludwig, who presented the jubilee “a special honor” of his hometown.

Peter Weck, born on August 12, 1930 in Vienna, began his career as an actor at the theater, was a member of the renowned Burgtheater, among other things, played in internationally known films such as “Sissi” (1955) and was known to a broad television audience by the series “I married a family” (1983-1986).

As the director of the United Stages Vienna, he brought important musicals such as “Cats” and “The Phantom of the Opera” to the German -language premiere. Despite his advanced age and health restrictions, including a stroke in early 2022, he remains a present personality of the Austrian cultural and entertainment scene.
