Harvey Weinstein is due to come to court again in 2025. The process deals with the rape allegation in the case of Jessica Mann.
Harvey Weinstein (73) should come to court a third time in a case of alleged rape. , the process should take place before the end of the year. The New York judge Curtis Farber explained this on Wednesday. The former film mogul is accused of raping actress Jessica Mann in 2013. In June, the jury could not agree on this indictment point.
At a press conference, a Weinstein lawyer is said to have announced that Weinstein will not guilty. He also said that the New York public prosecutor should drop the indictment. Weinstein had previously denied all allegations.
Judgment in the case of Haley scheduled for September
In June, Weinstein was guilty of sexual assault in the recording process in the case of the film producer Miriam Haley. He was acquitted in another point that Model Kaja Sokola was forced to do oral sex.
According to the judge, the judgment on the guilty verdict in the case of Haley is planned for September 30th. Farber had declared that Weinstein was not condemned before he comes to court because of the alleged rape of men. Accordingly, the verdict will probably only take place later. The scheduled date is only durable if Weinstein is guilty of committing the public prosecutor’s office to fall the lawsuit or the indictment is negotiated before the end of September.
Convention was lifted in 2020
Weinstein was originally sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexual offenses in 2020. In 2024 the conviction was canceled and a new process was set. Weinstein is in custody in New York because he was sentenced to 16 years in prison in a further trial in California. Weinstein denies all allegations.
