What & Sons is it

& Sons is the dramatic adaptation of David Gilbert’s novel, co -written by Oscar Sarah Polley winner. It stars Bill Night as a lonely literary superstar that calls their children home to make them an incredible ad. The production is from Infinity Hill (Phin Glynn, Axel Kuschevatzky, Cindy Teperman) and Matanza Cine (Pablo Trapero) of Argentina, Christina PioVean, Emily Kulasa, Trudie Styler, Celine Rattray and Jackie Donohue. They complete the cast Noah Jupe, George Mackay, Johnny Flynn, Anna Geislerová, Dominic West and Imelda Staunton.

20 years have passed since Andrew Dyer (Night) wrote a single word, or left home. In those two decades, he had a son out of marriage, he lost his suffered wife (the Oscar Imelda Staunton) and has been distanced from his other children. After the death of an old friend, Andrew’s feeling of mortality increases – exacerbated by his alcoholism -, so he decides to gather all his children for the first time, and probably last time. The older brothers Richard (Flynn) and Jamie (Mackay) return home reluctant despite old resentments, believing that his father wants to appease his conscience amending things. Instead, his father reveals a secret about his half -brother Andy Jr. (Jupe) that rewrites family history in the most surprising way.

“& Sons explores artistic aspirations and mortality in this original and entertaining drama that, ultimately, addresses universal issues: gathered families that deal with old grievances, misunderstandings and regrets. In the center of this whirlwind is the brilliant performance of Night, which ranges between the drunk rest and the anxiety attacks of a derviche, presenting itself as a tragic patriarch I could have the key to amending things, “he described Anita LeeFestival programmer.
