The American metal band Megadth has announced its final album for 2026. There will also be a farewell tour next year. The band around front man Dave Mustaine announced their farewell to social media.
In addition to Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, Megadth is one of the so-called Big Four of the US thrash metal genre. The group was founded a good 40 years ago and so far published 16 studio albums.
“We created something really wonderful together that will probably never come back,” Mustaine was quoted in a message. The 63-year-old also announced his memoirs for 2026.
