“Love you, mom” – Jeff Bezos mourns the loss of mother
The mother of Jeff Bezos suffered from a form of dementia. She died on Thursday, as the Amazon founder writes on Instagram.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos mourns his mother. “Her adult life started a little early when she became my mother at the tender age of 17,” wrote the 61-year-old billionaire next to a photo of his mother Jackie on Instagram. “She plunged into her job with full strength, brought my great father into the team a few years later and then added my sister and brother to her list of people who love, protected and cared for”.
The Jackie Bezos at the age of 78 died on Thursday, as Bezos announced. She was surrounded by “of so many of us that they loved – their children, grandchildren and my father,” wrote Bezos. He would “always preserve his mother in my heart”. “I love you mom.”
Numerous people Bezos expressed their condolences under the post, including the actors Antonio Banderas and Sharon Stone as well as the models Naomi Campbell and Miranda Kerr. Ex-journalist Lauren Sánchez, who had given the yes word with Bezos in a sensational wedding in Venice in front of numerous celebrities: “We will miss her so much.”
