The public prosecutor has charged Mette-Marit’s son Marius Borg Høiby. He is accused of several rapes.
The Marius Borg Høiby (28), which has often been present in the media in the past few months, has to go to court. According to a total of 32 crimes, the eldest son of Norway’s crown princess Mette-Marit (51) are accused, including several rapes. The public prosecutor’s office Oslo announced this at a convened press conference.
Prosecutor Sturla Henriksbø therefore spoke of very serious and serious allegations, of four suspected rape of different women, abuse and several acts of violence. Høiby is said to have passed women between 2018 and 2024 when they slept. Before that, there was a mutual sex. The accused is said to have filmed the attacks. The police spotted large amounts of pictures and videos.
Six -week process in the coming year
“The fact that Marius Borg Høiby is part of the royal family must of course not lead to being treated milder or stricter than others who have committed similar acts,” Henriksbø is quoted. It is therefore estimated that the process will probably begin in mid -January 2026 and should take around six weeks.
After long investigations, the Norwegian police came to a conclusion a few weeks ago: Marius Borg Høiby had already been accused of a large number of serious crimes. The public prosecutor subsequently had to decide whether charges would be charged.
“The police thoroughly examined the cases and interviewed numerous witnesses, carried out several searches and spotted extensive digital material,” the police, Andreas Kruszewski, announced according to NRK. Allegations against Høiby had already rejected in June, in particular the allegations of rape.
