2024 was not an easy year for Princess Kate and husband Prince William. Much of the time was drawn by Kate’s fight against her cancer. As a family, the Waleses had to move closer together. Now they want to dare a new beginning – especially spatial.

Kate and William are planning their extract from the Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, which they have lived in since summer 2022. But they don’t want to move very far away. As the “Mail on Sunday” reported, it will be the Forest Lodge, which is also part of the Windsor Great Park and is just under six and a half kilometers away from the family home.
The 300 -year -old, Georgian building made of red bricks offers Kate, William and Co. a little more space than the Adelaide Cottage with its four bedrooms. Eight bedrooms and six bathrooms can call Kate and William their own towards the end of the year. But there should also be enough leisure activities. Not far from the property, two families lived in two cottages that belong to the Forest Lodge. As the “Mail on Sunday” reported, the residents have already been asked to prepare their move so that the royals can enjoy their privacy.

300 years old house
The Forest Lodge has been owned by the Royal Family for some time. In the 19th century, the royal family acquired the property, which, like the entire Windsor Great Park, belongs to the Crown Estate. Although the villa was restored at the beginning of the nation years, Kate and William want to have further renovation work done.
