Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen once again let the light swords speak. But Obi-Wan had easy starting difficulties.
Ewan McGregor (54) and Hayden Christensen (44) have revived their old “Star Wars” feud at the fan Expo Chicago. The two actors initially greeted themselves with an intimate hug on the stage of the event, which ended last Monday. In the presence of several storm troops, Obi -Wan and Anakin Skywalker alias Darth Vader were unable to do any other way – they picked up with the light swords provided and dueled playfully under the cheers of the fans present.
Both stars still seem to be able to remember their once painstakingly rehearsed sword choreographies. However, in contrast to Christians, McGregor apparently had problems causing his lightsaber to shine, as recordings of the duel show. But that can happen to everyone Jedi under stress.
Constant companion and good friends
McGregor and Christensen participated together in the Prequel trilogy of “Star Wars”, which started in 1999 with “The Dark Threat”. In the Disney+series “Obi-Wan”, published in 2022, they met again for the great joy of the fans.
At the panel of Fan Expo Chicago, the two actors remembered this time together, which she probably welded together forever. In particular, her fateful confrontation in “The Revenge of the Sith”, which Anakin finally turns into villain Darth Vader, left a lasting impression among the two actors. For this scene alone, the two would have “trained” months.
Last year McGregor was on Christensen’s side when he received his star on the Walk of Fame. “He is just incredibly nice to me and it was immediately clear to me that I met a really special person here-not only as an actor, but also as a person,” enthused the 44-year-old from his co-star and friend. However, he could not help but beg a verbal side blow without light sword: “A friend who later chopped both legs and dying on the edge of a volcano, but I guess I somehow deserved it.”
