King Charles was received at his summer residence in Scotland. Even an animal acquaintance knew how to behave.
King Charles III. (76) has arrived at Balmoral Castle in Scotland and was ceremoniously received on his summer residence by supporters of the British royal family and an honorary guard. Published by the monarch, Charles show in a good mood and in the tartan skirt, while listening to bagpipes players and talking to some of the waiting fans. An animal and sometimes stubborn guest – as in previous years – had been particularly taken with him.
Because even a beloved mascot of the Balaklava Company, the 5th battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, had come again: The Shetland pony named Corporal Cruachan IV. This has not always been the case in the past: once nibbled corporal cruachan IV. Already at the flower bouquet of the queen who died in 2022 or put some horse apples in their presence.
Summer vacation as family therapy?
The summer vacation of the British Royals in Scotland has a long tradition and “began with Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the middle of the 19th century”, as the post says. As this year, King Charles and Queen Camilla (78) usually travel to the rural residence in August and will probably remain until mid -September. Charles’ Birkhall, the Balmoral, is also part of the Balmoral ownership. The Scottish Highlands are considered to be a retreat of the family: a lot of nature and a lot of privacy. The Windsors use the property for walks, picnic, rides, hunting and fishing – and this year also to get family problems out of the way?
In any case, British media report that this year Prince Andrew (65) and his ex-wife Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson (65) can join the monarch to the Scottish Highlands on his vacation. So “Andrew arrived in Balmoral on Friday”, like a not mentioned source. Ferguson and the two joint daughters Princess Beatrice (37) and Princess Eugenie (35) are therefore not yet on site, but will soon meet. Another insider evaluates the alleged Balmoral invitation to “The Sun” as the “enormous sign of support” by the king for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
Other high -ranking royals are also expected promptly: Prince William (43) and Princess Kate (43) with her common children George (12), Charlotte (10) and Louis (7) as well as Prince Edward (60) and Duchess Sophie (61).
