Amazon MGM Studios and K & S Films today revealed the trailer of the anticipated film Nativity scene of Fonzi Doloresand announced that it will be part of the official team of the 73rd edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival, to be held from September 19 to 27 in Spain.

The heartbreaking real story of injustice, resistance and struggle of a woman who has aroused a global movement for reproductive rights will be released in select cinemas from Argentina on September 18 and will be available in prime video later in the year in 240 countries and territories around the world.


What Belén is about
The Belén film, set in the province of Tucumán, Argentina, follows the story of Julieta, a young woman accused of committing an illegal abortion, and of Soledad Deza, a bold lawyer who risks everything to assume a case as controversial as decisive. As the trial develops, Juliet’s situation becomes a turning point in the fight against a conservative judicial system, unleashing a wave of indignation and a growing network of solidarity that crosses borders.

Directed and starring Fonzi Dolores (Blondi) and produced by K&S Films (the company behind wild stories, Oscar nominated), Bethlehem is a forceful criticism of systematic injustices and a tribute to resistance, sorority and constant struggle for the right to autonomy over the body.
The cast includes Camila Plaate (Motoarrebatador), Laura Paredes (Argentina, 1985), Julieta Cardinali (Maradona: Blessed dream), and Sergio Prina (Motoarrebatador), with special appearances of Luis Machín (Cromañón) and César Troncoso (The Eternaluta), among others. Based on the book We are Bethlehem of Ana Correathe film was written by Dolores Fonzi and Laura Paredes. The production is in charge of Leticia Cristi and Matías Mosteirin, of K&S, with Diego Copello as executive producer.
Bethlehem is the most recent incorporation into the growing list of original Argentine Video films, after the success of Argentina, 1985winner of the Golden Globe.
