Wolke Hegenbarth clarifies: You and Oliver Vaid have been married for years – not only for a few months.

Wolke Hegenbarth (45) and Oliver Vaid (39) are said to have married “a few months ago”. A stubborn rumor that the actress and her partner now finally get out of the world. In an interview with the magazine “Gala”, they reveal the surprising truth: The wedding took place in Berlin six years ago in August 2019.

“It happened six years ago, before Avi’s birth. Simply because we thought it was generally something beautiful when the child is born into the marriage,” explains Oliver Vaid, who works as a sales director. “It is this old -fashioned, romantic idea that we are officially a family.”

Wedding in the ninth month

The circumstances of the wedding were rather unusual. Wolke Hegenbarth was already pregnant when the couple gave themselves the yes word on the registrar in Berlin. “Avi came ten days later, three weeks early. We just made it that way,” laughs the popular actress today about the Timing challenge.

The couple consciously decided to discretion. No groomsmen, no friends were there at the civil ceremony, “only the very fronest family circle”. You also have not exchanged rings. The reason: “We later wanted to celebrate our actual wedding in India. That is why we didn’t tell anyone about it at first,” reveals Oliver Vaid behind the secrecy.

The wedding photos that the couple made available to the magazine show them in a loose pale purple summer dress with flower wreath and white veil in the hair as well as it in white pants and white-black-cared jacket. After the wedding, we went on a boat tour onto the Spree. They traditionally cut a wedding cake on board. “Salted Caramel Buttercream – an absolute Oberkracher,” enthuses Hegenbarth today.

A stroke of fate and Corona crossed the plans

The big celebration in India, the home of Vaid’s father, should be the real highlight – but then everything turned out differently. At the beginning of 2020, her wedding planner in India, a friend of Vaid’s father, died “completely surprisingly”. “It hit us hard, both emotionally and organizationally,” he recalls in the double interview. It was planned to invite 100 friends and relatives from Germany and at least as many Indian relatives.

Then Corona came in between “and finally also life”, as the couple in retrospect notes. The pandemic made international trips and great celebrations impossible, later everyday life with a small child caused further delays. “That let us give up,” he says.

However, Wolke Hegenbarth and Oliver Vaid, who have been in a relationship for ten years, have not completely gave up their dream of the Indian wedding. They continue to plan the big celebration, even if they want to take their time: “Before 2027, it will certainly not be anything,” they realistically state.
