Over twenty years after the end of “Dawson’s Creek”, the cast is reunited for the series of cancer star of the series: James van der Beek.
In 2003 the cult broadcast went on air for the last time. Now the occupation of the teenage series “Dawson’s Creek” returns to the fictional small town of Capeside for a special occasion, as the US magazine reports.
For the first time since the end of the successful series, the cast will come back together after over two decades to take part in a unique charity event of the “Fuck Cancer” organization on September 22nd. The old clique will read the pilot sequence of the series live.
In addition to the main actors James van der Beek, Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson, Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe and Busy Philipps will also be there at the event at the Richard Rodgers Theater in New York. The acting attention wants to generate attention to support “Fuck Cancer” and especially film colleagues James van der Beek (48). The six -time father made his diagnosis of colon cancer at stage 3 last year. The actor himself announced a reference to the event on his appeal.
“We want to remind James that we are all there for him”
Michelle Williams was quoted in the announcement of the event according to “People” with the words: “We grew up in capesides, and that is a connection that will hold for a lifetime. We wanted to gather around our dear friend James and remind him that we are all there for him. We have always been and we will always be.” She was sure that the fans of “Dawson’s Creek” think the same way.
Series creator Kevin Williamson also said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing James, Michelle, Katie, Joshua and our ‘Dawson’s Creek’ family for such a special evening again.” The series changed his life. “What started as a personal story about a young man and his friends who navigated through the challenges of life became too much more than I had ever dreamed of.” He was proud to be part of the matter and is pleased to support his friend “while we continue to move through life and its many challenges”.
The US youth series “Dawson’s Creek” was broadcast from 1998 to 2003 and comprises a total of six seasons with 128 episodes. The series tells the growing up and the romantic entanglements of four friends – Dawson Leery, Joey Potter, Pacey Witter and Jen Lindley – in a fictional small town near Boston.
