Frank Caprio: The American TV judge is dead

The American judge Frank Caprio (1936-2025) achieved global celebrity with the TV caust show “Caight in Providence”. Now he died at the age of 88. That was shared by his family. Accordingly, he died “peaceful after a long and brave fight against pancreatic cancer”.

In it, real legal proceedings were shown on smaller violations such as traffic offenses. Caprio used this stage to focus on humanity and empathy. His understanding judgments, often paired with a wink, made him a crowd favorite far beyond the United States. Many of the videos also went viral online and collected millions of views.

Caprio was married to wife Joyce for 60 years, with whom he has five children, seven grandchildren and two great -grandchildren.

In December 2023 he announced that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and then underwent chemotherapy. Just a few hours before his death. He explained that he had suffered a setback and asked for prayers.
