Queen Camilla visited the annual Ebor Festival in York. In the race there of the day, the EBF Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes, two horses that belong to her and King Charles ran. The queen is considered a passionate fan of horse racing and visibly shone when she arrived at the event in a light blue coat over a flower dress and with a cream -colored hat with a wide brim.

The English Queen met local dignitaries on site and unveiled a plaque for Juddmonte International Stakes. The race in York was chosen by the Longines World Racing Awards in 2024. Camilla also ceremoniously inaugurated a newly renovated part of the race track during her royal visit.

After a tour of the site, the 78-year-old then went to the royal lodge, where she followed the action with a binoculars in her hand. Her horses Rainbows Edge and Aeolian opportunities had chances here for victory.

King Charles had arrived at his summer residence at the beginning of the week. The monarch was solemnly received by an honorary guard and a Shetland pony named Corporal Cruachan IV.

The pony was extremely exemplary when greeting the king – which has not always been the case in recent years. Once, Corporal Cruachan IV nibbles on the bouquet of the Queen, who died in 2022, or left some horse apples in their presence. Pictures of the king’s greeting.
