Actor Samuel Koch says goodbye to Instagram from the platform. In a post, Samuel Koch explains his motives.
The author and actor Samuel Koch (37) says goodbye to Instagram in his own words. He noticed how he arises professionally and personally into a “co-dependency” of the medium and a form of lack of freedom, he wrote in a contribution. “With everything that makes you potentially unfree, I have to check whether I have the freedom to say goodbye to it.” So he will say goodbye “for the time being”.
Koch, born in Neuwied, thanked the “countless people” who had had the courage to tell him about their suffering on this channel. “Thank you for your openness. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for learning that I was also able to learn from you to be alive, especially if you can almost feel the pain of others yourself.” Koch has more than 71,000 followers on Instagram.
In 2010, Koch crashed into the television show “Wetten, dass ..?” As an 23-year-old. Since then it is paraplegic and sits in a wheelchair. Koch is a film and theater actor, author and speaker. Since the 2018/19 season, he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Nationaltheater Mannheim.
