TV: Cabaret artist in the Kotzfrucht-Hölle: “Kroymann” is back

Maren Kroymann fans will make eyes. Germany’s best-known cabaret artist finally leaves the intellectual comfort zone and plunges down into the world of reality TV. “I want the followers. I want the range. I want to be screeched by teenagers in the subway.”

After four decades on the television, it is urgently time for a solid pension, says Kroymann. And if you know the 76-year-old, you know that she does not do any things, and is completely relentless towards herself.

On a “road to reality” she tries out all nonsense except nude shows. The seventh season of the sketch format “Kroymann” runs on Friday (August 22nd) at 11:55 p.m. in the first, the four episodes are also on the net.

“Hotter than climate change”

Maren Kroymann gathered the crème de la crème in the industry: “Bachelor in Paradise” veteran Filip Pavlović even performs a courtship dance for her. Max Bornmann (“Make Love – Fake Love”), Cecilia Asoro (“Prominent separated – the villa of the past”), RTL jungle camper Fabio Knez and Youtuber Jolina Mennen are also in the satirery show. Outstanding: Natascha Ochsenknecht as a doctorate for reality stars.

Kroymann would also like to wade through mud in real life, exist. Eat puzzle fruit and kangaroo dogs? “I don’t believe that,” says the Berliner in the interview of the German Press Agency. “It is not really attraction that brought me there, but curiosity about this experience that I have not yet had. I wanted to surprise myself. Let’s see what that tickles out with me.”

The result is stunningly funny. In the narrative strand “Keeping Up with the Kroymanns” she plays the Kardashians with her colleagues Karolina Lodyga, Klara Lange and Diana Amft and is “Hotter as climate change”. Other sketches also interrupt the framework for the new Nazis.

Reality TV: Targeted past the educational middle class

What appeals to reality? “The fact that it is so strange that it is so different and actually aims at the educational bourgeoisie-but at the same time stands for the most watched programs. That is a contradiction, and we have to live with it,” explains the four-time Grimme price winner. “There is definitely this” I don’t look away, I only look at literary quartet and animal documentary “audience segment. At the same time, public people have been lost because the whole trash rail is not served.”

Kroymann cannot be accused of being too fine for it. She recently appeared at the ProSieben show “The Masked Singer”. She actually did not love the reality concept when filming the new “Kroymann” relay, she confesses.

“But I thought the people who did it with whom I turned,” emphasizes the 76-year-old. “Natascha Ochsenknecht and I immediately had a wire to each other. It was not so easy for them to do what actors do: suddenly to keep texts on a large scale. That was really a performance that was bothered by this task. I totally appreciated the reality stars as partners.”
