Serena Williams lost 14 kilos – but not on a natural way. The former tennis player resorted to weight loss injections and took off her “baby kilos”.
Tennis legend Serena Williams makes no secret of it: she helped to lose weight. In one, the 23-fold Grand Slam winner confesses that she has lost over 14 kilograms with a prescription drug.
“I feel great. I feel really good and healthy. I feel physically freed,” explains Williams. With the help of a GLP-1 medication, she finally reached her desired weight. After two pregnancies, the exceptional athlete had desperately fought against the kilos in her view.
Hard workouts did nothing
“No matter how much I trained or how healthy I died, I just never reached the weight I wanted,” admits Williams. A completely new experience for the former professional athlete: “It was crazy because I have never been in such a situation where I worked so hard and ate so healthy and nevertheless never got where I had to be.”
The Olympic champion emphasizes that she never took abbreviations in her career. “I know what it takes to be the best,” she says. It was all the more frustrating not to achieve the desired result despite intensive training and not to lose weight properly after pregnancies.
Finally, Serena Williams decided about six months after the birth of her second daughter to treat weekly injections. These drugs, well -known brands are Ozempic and Mounjaro, work in the brain and influence the feeling of satiety. However, this is not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle, but would only have reinforced her efforts with healthy food and sport, as it clarifies.

When the Sussexes were still part of the royal institution, Meghan and Princess Catherine accompanied their husbands together in one game. And although Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have now turned their back on the British royal family, Harry is still happy to pursue the royal tradition. Last Friday, the prince played in Miami at a charity tournament. The proceeds benefited Sentebal, an organization that Harry founded himself and supports people infected with HIV in Africa.
