“Stefan Raab has already answered countless quiz questions in all shows and Elton has already asked countless quiz questions in his career as a moderator,” writes RTL for the new show, which is to be moderated by Laura Wontorra. Around a year ago, the former ProSieben star Raab (“TV Total”, “Schlag den Raab”) ended a long break and hired it at RTL. The return of the entertainer, musician and moderator in autumn 2024 was considered the German TV event of the year.

Earlier show format did not meet the expectations

As RTL made public at the time, Raab signed a five-year exclusive contract with the Cologne broadcaster. His show “You do not win the million at Stefan Raab”, which he himself announced as “the first entertainment quiz competition hybrid show in the world”, started with great ambitions, initially at the streaming service RTL+, from February Wednesday evening (8:15 p.m.) also in the classic RTL program.

However, the format did not meet the expectations – RTL ended the show in its form at the time for less than a year. RTL program manager Germany, Inga Leschek, announced that she wanted to work on a new weekly format together with Raab, she called the start date this autumn.

At RTL, Raab was still to be seen in shows, for example with “Stefan & Bully against some Schnulli” with Michael “Bully” Herbig. This year Raab was again involved in the German preliminary decision of the Eurovision Song Contest and organized the four -part casting show “Chef’s matter ESC 2015 – who sings for Germany?”, In which he was the preselection of the participants.

Elton, who is called Alexander Duszat with a bourgeois name, became known as a show intern in Raab’s ProSieben show “TV Total” in the early 2000s, after which he himself made a career as a TV presenter.

In April 2024 it became known that he surprisingly lost the moderation of the ProSieben competition show “Schlag den Star”, which he moderated for eight years. At the time, Elton had shown himself very disappointed. Previously, he had launched several shows at the ProSieben competition RTL.
