Alina Merkau (39), moderator on “Sat.1 breakfast television”, started a special adventure. She left Berlin with her family to live on the Spanish island of Ibiza for a year.
“It will be great”
She betrayed on the weekend: “People we did. After a long preparation we leave Germany for 1 year and shift the center of life to Ibiza.” It is “a huge adventure”. At first a vacation week is planned, after which the children should visit school and kindergarten. “It will be great! It will also be challenging!” But you only live once. And she has never experienced anyone who said after a year that it should have been better.
Despite her new residence, she stays “of course” on “breakfast television”. “I would never let that be …”, she emphasized.
She has a daughter and a son
Since October 2014, the blonde moderates the morning format in Sat.1. Previously, she was active as a radio host and actress. In private, she found her luck with event manager Rael Hoffmann, with whom she has been in a relationship since 2013 and has been married since 2018. In 2016 the couple became parents for the first time when daughter Rosa was born. Son Carlo followed in 2021.
