The new episodes of the Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” are there. This is how Duchess Meghan reacts to the criticism of her show.
Duchess Meghan (44) lets the hard criticism of her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” bounce off. In a rare (45) she explained to the question of how she deals with criticism of her lifestyle show: “I think I knew who I wanted to reach, and if you know your audience, you also know your target group – well, they love the show.”
“And my partners love the show, and that’s why there is a second season and that’s why we have even more fun in front of us,” she said about the publication of the new episodes that have been seen on Netflix since August 26.
Meghan wants to achieve that with her show
Prince Harry’s wife (40) could imagine that the people who blaspheme through their show may go home secretly to cook their recipes. “And that’s okay to try to pay for your bills, and it is your business to decide whether you can live with it if you harm others.”
In the interview, she also said about “with Love, Meghan”: “In my view, it was the intention of the show to show more of myself, to share tips that I love in my life and have fun.” When asked about criticism, she supports the “Tradwife” trend with her show, Meghan reacted surprised. “Oh really? That seems strange to me,” she said at “The Circuit”.
The Duchess said that the series was more concerned with “thinking well” if you have little time. “I don’t have time to cook dinner every evening – I wish I had time for it, but I just don’t have it – I’m great in ordering food and nicely organizing it,” she said. “I do not judge ‘traditional wives’ if that works for them, but for me there is a middle ground, and my joy comes from finding this optimal point in the middle.”
Name has “changed nothing to my personality”
Elsewhere in the interview, she has revealed what she learned since she was called Sussex: “I have learned that I am still the same person regardless of my name or, as others call me.” Furthermore, she said: “It has not changed my personality, and that is the most important difference.”
In season one of the Netflix show, Meghan’s last name was one of the topics that caused a stir. Guest star Mindy Kaling (46) called her maiden name Meghan Markle – and was corrected by the Duchess. Her official name sounds Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
In the new interview, she now explained that she understood that “you as an American are very confused” if you use a duchy title as a last name, but that this works well in her family. “For us, Sussex is our family name and a name that we share with our children,” said Meghan. “I have been called that since we got married.”
Duchess Meghan gave prince Harry 2018 the yes. In 2020 the couple withdrew from the British royal family and started a new life in California, Meghan’s homeland. Meghan and Harry have two children: Archie (6) and Lilibet (4).
