The Roses reaches theaters.
If there is something that greatly differentiates the roses from the 1989 adaptation (since the comparisons are inevitable) is that we see much more time dedicated to showing this relationship over time. Marriage, fatherhood, business success and sudden failure for him, and business failure and sudden success for her. All this leaves a more limited space for the inevitable moment where violence takes over history.
A storm is the initial foot tip so that the roles in marriage change and from there will be a slow but constant path where selfishness and individualisms come more. Its protagonists are key for the film to work. Colman’s English accent and Cumberbatch puts the touch to the Peopleto the sarcastic humor But also at the moments of love in the couple.
