What is Máte yourself, love
Set in a rural United States, Máte, love is the portrait of a woman wrapped by love and madness. It is an adaptation of Ariana Harwicz’s 2017 novel.
“The center of this story focuses on the complexity of love and how it can change and transform over time. I wanted it to be realistic, human, spontaneous and sometimes fun, capturing the moments that feel small, but that have a lot of weight. The film is for anyone who has once been in a relationship. There is pain and beauty in vulnerability,” said its director in a statement.
Máte, love is starring Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle), Pattinson (Mickey 17, The Batman), Lakeith Stanfield (Judas and The Black Messiah, The Book of Clarence), Nick Nolte (Cape Fear, 48 Hours, The Prince of Tides) and Sissy Spacek (Carrie, Coal Mine’s Daughter, in the Bedroom).
