Two Oscars and rolls in numerous film classics decorate the career of Denzel Washington. But the Hollywood star doesn’t make anything of films.
Denzel Washington is not a film enthusiast. “I don’t watch films,” said the two-time Oscar winner in an interview with rapper Asap Rocky and director Spike Lee for “GQ”. “I’m just honest. I don’t watch films, I don’t go to the cinema,” said the 70-year-old (“Training Day”, “American Gangster”).
Is it because he had played along with so many films? “Probably. I have enough of films.” When asked how many he shot, the actor replied: “Too many. I think 50.” He usually doesn’t look at his own films again after the premiere. “I’m not interested in the past.”
The Hollywood star plays the leading role of a music mogul in the new Spike Lee film “Highest 2 Lowest”, ASAP Rocky embodies a singer. The thriller celebrated its premiere in May in May and can be seen at the Streaming Service Apple TV+ from September 5th.
