Sight exercises

Vision loss is very common in older adults but can train.
The exercises you have to do to protect your vision
The good thing about this type of exercises is that they make us aware that around the eye we have muscles that can be trained and is quite simple and effective. A very common problem is to spend a lot of time in front of the screens and blink less than normal, so one of the main exercises is just that.
Blink
Flashing is something we do automatically (between 14,000 and 19,000 a day). But the more time we spend in front of screens such as computer, television or telephone, the less we blink. This can affect our eyes making us feel dry or sand and tiredness. Therefore, when using a device, it is recommended to flash every time, and even close the eyes a few seconds and move them from one side to another. This can rehydrate them by distributing tears on them.
20-20-20
The blue light emitted by the screens tires the sight, so this rule is essential for your rest. It works as follows: while you are in front of a screen, every 20 minutes, take a break of 20 seconds. During the break, focus on an object at least 6 meters away. This forces eye muscles to relax.
Near / far
This exercise consists of changing the view approach and moving from an object close to one that is further. One way to perform it can be holding an element near our vision, like our own fingers, about 25 cm from our face and concentrate on it for 15 seconds. Then, change the focus to another element that is 6 meters away and concentrate on it, also, for 15 seconds.
