Marius Borg Høiby is charged with 32 points, among other things for rape and assault. Now it is clear when Mette-Marit’s son has to go to court.
The court hearing against Marius Borg Høiby, the son of the Norwegian crown princess Mette-Marit, is scheduled to begin on February 3. This was reported by the Norwegian newspaper Nettavisen, citing Høiby’s lawyer. Accordingly, 24 days of negotiations are scheduled at the Oslo district court.

Around a year after the emergence of first allegations against the 28-year-old, the public prosecutor in Oslo had charged charges against Høiby last week. In total, he is charged with 32 points – among other things because of rape, abuse in close relationships and assault.

Høiby is not a member of the Norwegian royal family
After initial allegations on assault and property damage, Høiby had admitted in August 2024 that they had become violent under the influence of alcohol and cocaine towards his girlfriend at the time and destroyed things in her apartment. Above all, he decided the accusations of the sexual offenses, but had said one of his defenders a while ago.
Høiby is the oldest of the three children of the crown princess; He comes from an earlier relationship. Together with the heir to the throne Haakon, Mette-Marit has two other children: the hereditary princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus. Høiby belongs to the royal family, but does not wear a primary title and is also not an official member of the Norwegian royal family.
