Previously, due to illness, he had not participated in the press conference on his film “Jay Kelly”. “Sinusitis was diagnosed with George, and his doctor advised him to restrict his activities in the next few days to recover,” said his management on DPA request. Sinusitis is an inflammation of the mucous membranes in the sinuses.

In “Jay Kelly”, director Noah Baumbach tells of an older actor (Clooney) who gets into a meaning crisis and embarks on a trip to Europe with his manager (Adam Sandler). The German acting star Lars Eidinger can be seen in a supporting role.
Stone and Lanthimos back after Venice’s trait
Shortly before, Oscar winner Emma Stone had provided Hollywood glamor in Venice. She is the main actress in “Bugonia”, the new film by Giorgos Lanthimos. The Greek director captured Venice with “Poor Things” in 2023 and won the main prize.
In the “Bugonia” competition film, Stone embodies a corporate boss on the side of Jesse Plemons, who is kidnapped by conspiracy theorists.
The 82nd edition of the festival was opened by the new film by the director Paolo Sortino. 21 films compete for the golden lion this time.
