“Baywatch” star suffers from breast cancer: Nicole Eggert reports on her mastectomy

Nicole Eggert (53) has given a possibly trend -setting update in her fight against cancer. Like the former “Baywatch” actress, she underwent a mastectomy last weekend and another, now reconstructive operation on Thursday. To do this, she shared a picture that she shows in underwear in front of the mirror. Her post does not show whether she had to have both breasts or just one removed.

In January 2024, the actress made it public that breast cancer was diagnosed with her a month earlier. Then she regularly informed her fans about her course of illness and held her breast implants, which she had used for her “Baywatch” role, responsible for the disease. Eggert played the Summer Quinn lifeguard in the successful television series from 1992 to 1994. In 2003 she was also seen in the television film “Baywatch – Wedding in Hawaii”.

At the end of August 2024, the documentary series “After Baywatch” appeared, in which the former stars of the cult series have their say. Eggert can be seen in it and she produced the documentary. In addition to her two daughters, this was a “great distraction”. “It was a great motivation for me not only to sit and think about my health. It made sense to me,” she told the “People” magazine at the premiere of the documentary.

In the course of this, she also explained what was the most difficult for her in the past few months. “You have to wait a lot and this is something that I wasn’t really aware of and what doesn’t really talk about,” said Eggert. “But the gray area is the most difficult because you don’t know what happens. And when I have been treated, I feel like doing something productive.” Even then she had said she hoped for an early operation to give another important step for a possible recovery. This has now obviously been carried out.
