Actress Helena Zengel (17) had to say goodbye to her grandmother Gerda Ilse Irmgard Zengel. She died last weekend at the age of 78 from the consequences of a traffic accident in Saxony-Anhalt in early August.
The “SystemSprenger” actress explained the “picture”: “I had the best grandma in the world. She was always there for me, had a big, huge heart, so much wit and charm.” In addition, her grandmother was “the best cook, singer and card player” and had the “most beautiful and loudest laughter in the world”. “If I could, I would get her out of heaven again! I miss it so much.” The actress, who already gained her experience in Hollywood, thanked her grandma for everything and will always love and carry her with her.
Artistic talent inherited
According to the “Bild” newspaper, Gerda Zengel worked as a traffic service manager for the GDR Reichsbahn for 30 years before going to the west with her family in 1989. Helena Zengel’s mother Anne confirmed that her mother was also artistically gifted and a great singer was. “Helena now lives out what generations were created beforehand. The two are very similar.”
Helena Zengel also mourns the loss of the beloved family member, who died last Saturday. Among other things, she wrote to memory pictures: “Grandma fought to the end, so bravely, so persistently – so she was, Gerda Ilse Irmgard Zengel.” It was a stroke of fate that nobody expected. “An emptiness that remains a gap in the family.
