Unusually chic: Adam Sandler showed up in the Film Festival of Venice in elegant tuxedo.
Rarely sight on the red carpet: Adam Sandler (58) has exchanged his usual casual appearance for a classic look. At the premiere of his new film “Jay Kelly” in Venice, the actor presented himself in black tuxedo with white shirt and fly-a clear contrast to his usual wide T-shirts, baggy shorts and offset sneakers.
Harmonious picture
The “Happy Gilmore” star was accompanied by his family: wife Jackie (50) beamed in a floor-length, wearless white dress, while the daughters Sadie (19) and Sunny (16) perfectly complemented the color scheme. Sunny also chose a white Neckholder dress, Sadie contrasted in a black dress – a harmonious family picture at the film festival in the lagoon city.
Sandler also posed on the red carpet with co-star George Clooney (64). His appearance with his wife Amal Clooney (47) was particularly pleased with the fans. Because during the course of the day, Clooney remained away from the press conference of his own film for health reasons, since he was diagnosed with sinus infection, according to the US industry media and he was to be gentle on the instructions of his doctor. But he did not miss the world premiere of the film in the evening.
In “Jay Kelly”, according to Netflix, Clooney embodies the title role of a film star who, together with his manager Ron (Sandler), embodies an unexpected journey through Europe. Both are forced to deal with their life decisions, interpersonal relationships and the legacy that they will leave.
Directed by Noah Baumbach (55, “Marriage Story”), who wrote the film – his fourth for Netflix – together with Emily Mortimer. In addition to Clooney and Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson and Greta Gerwig are part of the top -class ensemble.
