An auction of works of art with dual purpose: cultural and social

Cultural purpose: “Art in the provinces” was born with the intention of moving the meeting point of national art -historically covered in large capitals -, towards new regions of the country.

“This cultural and social project arises with a deep conviction: there is an immense flow of talent in the provinces of the country – the heart that constitutes the heart of national art – and the great artistic meetings should not be reserved only to the capitals of the world.” Rosa Lescaco -founder of “Art in the provinces” (poet, expertise in the work of León Ferrari, plastic artist and cultural manager).

“We create these meeting spaces between Latin American art teachers, consecrated artists and emerging talents from all the provinces of the country. In each edition, much of the chosen artists belong to the region that receives us: in this case the province of Mendoza,” adds Olivia Ramazza Aentsenco -founder of “Art in the provinces” (lawyer and communicator, with experience in artistic and community initiatives in Mexico).

Social Purpose: “Art in the provinces” proposes to transform access to art into a community of community impact.

Through a new model called collaborative auctions, the project allocates the proceeds to concrete social initiatives in each province that hosts the auction, working together with organizations with real territorial impact.

“Collaborate, participate and receive are the axes of this new model that transcends the individual benefit to become a collective engine of cultural and social transformation, where each party contributes and receives at the same time.” Says Rosa Lesca.

“In this social purpose we seek to promote concrete actions that improve the local reality of each province, city, locality; working together with social organizations with territorial impact. In this first edition in Mendoza, part of the proceeds in the auction will be destined to the Pata Pila organization to build two primary care centers in needed neighborhoods of the province. The total collected is divided between this social purpose, the cultural purpose and what corresponds to the artists for the sale of their works. Explains Olivia Ramazza Antentsen.
