Need on the man at RTL? Then Jan Köppen’s phone usually rings. The moderator saved some understaffed TV show several times.
Sender RTL announced on Friday morning that “three against one – the show of the champions” will have to make do without moderator Elton (54). However, replacement alongside TV chef Tim Mälzer (54) and live streamer Jens “Knossi” Knossalla (39) has already been taken care of: Jan Köppen (42) will compete together with the two against Olympic champion, world record holder or other champions in their field. Köppen, who was now in use in his TV career for the former music broadcaster Viva, paying station Sky and ZDFneo division canal, increasingly becomes a moderator for all (disease) cases at RTL.
In some formats of the Cologne broadcaster, he started from the start, for example at “Top Dog Germany – The Best Dog in Germany” or “Ninja Warrior Germany – the strongest show in Germany”, which will celebrate its tenth anniversary in the coming year.
Köppen, take over!
Again and again he also turned out to be a perfect replacement for his colleague Daniel Hartwich (47), regardless of whether it is temporary or with existence. Since 2023 he has been the man to Sonja Zietlows (57) page on “I’m a star – get me out of here!”, Even jungle veteran Dr. He even represented Bob (75) there when he exceptionally failed.
Speaking of: 2022 Daniel Hartwich had to fit twice in terms of illness on “Let’s Dance”, including in the final. But Köppen was ready and represented him worthy. Even a year later on “Jauch against Let’s Dance”, Hartwich failed extremely at short notice, Köppen took over again. For this he spontaneously crouched into the car and darkened from Berlin to Hürth – almost 600 kilometers. Why didn’t he just climb on the plane? He had not found a dog father quickly and: “I packed the dog. The little Suki was sitting in the passenger seat – strapped in of course – and then we got off.”
No failure too short -term, no way too far: Jan Köppen has been proving for years that you can count on him at RTL. Now also with “Three Against One”, where he wants to prove himself with the usual zest for action: “I’m really happy because it is a bit like it is on a child’s birthday that you are invited and you look at what happens.” That shouldn’t be a problem for him. He can spontaneously.
